This policy describes the data flows implemented on ElectroDesigner.com. It should be read together with the Cookie & Browser Storage Policy, Website Terms, General License Terms and, where applicable, product-specific licence terms.
1. Personal data we process
Early Access List and product updates. If you join the Early Access List, ElectroDesigner processes the email address you submit, your selected language, the page from which you joined, the time and version of your consent, an Early Access tag and the promised launch-discount eligibility record. The current Early Access offer records a 20% discount for the first year of PRO for eligible users who join before launch. Joining the list does not provide immediate access to unreleased tools.
Account and authentication data. When you create an ElectroDesigner account, the service processes your email address, account identifier, account-creation and authentication timestamps, confirmation status and security/session information needed to authenticate you. Optional profile fields may include your display name, company and country. Password authentication is provided through Supabase; ElectroDesigner does not store plaintext passwords.
Legal acceptance records. When an account is created through the ElectroDesigner registration interface, the service may record the version and time of acceptance of the Website Terms and acknowledgement of this Privacy Policy in account metadata. This acknowledgement is not treated as consent to unrelated marketing or optional tracking.
Licence and entitlement data. Paid product access may include the product identifier, purchase or licence reference, entitlement status, verification time, purchase time and a cryptographic fingerprint of a licence key. The raw licence key is used when required for verification but is not intended to be stored in the ElectroDesigner account database. A payment or licensing provider may provide purchase and licence information needed to verify entitlement.
Website and security logs. Hosting and security infrastructure may process technical request information such as IP address, date and time, requested URL, HTTP status, browser or user-agent information, error events and security signals.
Bot-protection data. Authentication forms may use Cloudflare Turnstile to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. Turnstile may process security signals such as IP address, user-agent and browser/network characteristics necessary for bot detection.
Engineering inputs. When a calculation, comparison or report is submitted to a server-side function, the inputs needed to perform that request are transmitted to the server. Where a tool stores projects or preferences only in your browser, those data remain local unless you explicitly transmit, export or later save them to a cloud feature.
Communications. If you contact ElectroDesigner, the message, email address and information you provide may be processed to answer the request and keep an appropriate support or legal record.
2. Purposes and legal bases
Early Access and product-update emails are sent on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw that consent at any time. Withdrawal stops future marketing or product-update emails and does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. A minimal record may be retained where necessary to honour the Early Access discount that was promised to you, maintain an unsubscribe/suppression record, prevent abuse or establish the history of the offer.
Account, authentication, profile and licence data are processed primarily to create and administer your account, provide requested software functions and manage entitlements. Where this processing is necessary to perform a contract or take steps requested before entering a contract, the legal basis is performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps.
Security logs, anti-abuse controls, fraud prevention, licence-abuse prevention and Cloudflare Turnstile may be processed on the basis of legitimate interests in protecting ElectroDesigner, its users and software, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. Data required to meet accounting, tax or other mandatory legal duties may be processed to comply with a legal obligation.
3. Service providers and recipients
Hosting and infrastructure. The hosting provider and technical infrastructure process request logs and application data as needed to deliver and secure the website. Early Access sign-up records may be stored in access-restricted server storage operated for ElectroDesigner.
Supabase. ElectroDesigner uses Supabase for account authentication and account-related database services where those features are enabled.
Cloudflare Turnstile. Cloudflare may provide bot-protection checks on authentication forms and process the security signals required for that purpose.
Payment and licensing providers. Where paid products are later offered, the selected payment/licensing provider may process payment, tax, receipt and licence information under its own terms. ElectroDesigner does not need to receive full payment-card details.
If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, the applicable transfer mechanism and safeguards depend on that provider and service configuration. ElectroDesigner relies on the provider's applicable contractual and legal transfer safeguards where required.
4. Cookies, browser storage and authentication sessions
ElectroDesigner account authentication may store a session locally in the browser so that you remain signed in between page loads. Product functions may also use essential first-party session storage. Browser local storage may hold engineering preferences, local project backups and interface state. 4a. Optional Google Analytics 4
When analytics is enabled on this website, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) is loaded only after you choose “Allow analytics”. It helps us understand which tools are used, where users encounter input errors and whether they return. The legal basis for this optional processing is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Refusing analytics does not prevent use of the calculators or your account.
GA4 processes pseudonymous browser/client and session identifiers, event times, a normalized page category, tool identifier, interface language, device/browser information and usage events such as opening a calculator, requesting or completing a calculation, and selecting a pricing link. Google receives your IP address as part of the network connection; Google states that GA4 does not log or store IP addresses from EEA users. This does not make all analytics data anonymous.
Our custom events do not include calculation inputs or numerical results, project names, email addresses, account IDs, passwords or licence keys. Page addresses sent by our integration omit query strings and fragments. Analytics consent is separate from account terms and email marketing consent.
Google provides the analytics service under the applicable Google Analytics and data-processing terms. Depending on the account agreement, the contracting entity is Google Ireland Limited or another Google entity; Google LLC and other subprocessors may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Google's applicable transfer safeguards include the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for covered certified transfers and standard contractual clauses where applicable. The launch configuration requires a two-month retention period for GA4 user-level and event-level data, without renewal of user retention on new activity. Google performs scheduled deletion; standard aggregated reports are not covered by that retention limit. Analytics cookies are configured for up to 180 days without automatic renewal on page visits. Your consent choice is remembered for up to 180 days. Browser restrictions or your own deletion may shorten these periods.
You can withdraw consent at any time using “Cookie settings” and “Reject analytics”, or the withdrawal button below. Withdrawal stops future measurement by this integration and removes accessible GA cookies; it does not retroactively erase data already processed or affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. For deletion or other data-rights requests, contact info@electrodesigner.com. We do not link GA client identifiers to your account, so we may need limited browser-identifying information to locate a record.
Analytics is currently disabled. No analytics tag is loaded by this integration.
5. Data retention
Early Access contact data are retained while the list is active or until you withdraw consent, subject to records that are still reasonably necessary to honour the promised discount, record an unsubscribe, prevent abuse, comply with law or handle a legal claim. ElectroDesigner will not keep active marketing contact data longer than reasonably necessary for the stated Early Access and product-update purpose.
Account and profile data are retained while the account is active and for a limited period afterwards where reasonably necessary for security, dispute handling or legal obligations. Licence, purchase and transaction-related records may need to be retained for the duration of the licence relationship and afterwards where necessary for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, legal-claim or audit purposes.
Browser-only data remain on your device until removed by you, overwritten by the application or cleared by the browser. Hosting and security logs are retained according to the active infrastructure configuration and operational requirements.
6. Unsubscribing, account deletion and data requests
You may withdraw Early Access/product-update consent through an unsubscribe mechanism included in update emails when email delivery starts, or by contacting info@electrodesigner.com. You can request account deletion from the account security section or through the same privacy contact.
Deleting or erasing data does not necessarily require deletion of records that must be retained under law or are necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims, prevent fraud, maintain a suppression record or honour a user-facing entitlement you asked ElectroDesigner to preserve.
7. Your data-protection rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may have rights including access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, data portability where applicable, and the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
Requests can be sent to info@electrodesigner.com. Reasonable information may be requested to verify that the request relates to the correct person without collecting unnecessary identity documents.
8. Engineering confidentiality
Do not put personal data, passwords, trade secrets or unnecessary confidential information into project names, notes or imported records. Unless a feature explicitly states otherwise, ElectroDesigner should not be treated as a confidential document-management or secrets-storage system.
9. Security
ElectroDesigner uses measures including HTTPS, restricted server-side storage and secrets, access controls, session controls, input validation and security response headers where configured. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. See the Security page for responsible disclosure information.
10. No sale of personal data and no behavioural advertising
ElectroDesigner does not sell personal data to advertisers and currently does not operate behavioural advertising or advertising-cookie tracking on ElectroDesigner.com.
11. External websites
Links to payment providers, manufacturers, standards organisations and other external websites take you to services operated by third parties. Their own privacy and cookie practices apply once you use those services.
12. Changes
This policy may be updated when the product, account model, providers or legal requirements change. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date and, where appropriate, by an in-product or website notice.
