Browser storage
FaultChain stores custom components, preferences and supported project/comparison data in your browser. Build 14 also keeps up to 10 local browser backups when a PRO project is saved. These backups remain on that browser/device and are not a cloud project list. Clearing site data can remove them; JSON exports remain the durable user-controlled backup format.
Server processing
PRO calculations, comparisons and reports send the inputs required for that request to the ElectroDesigner server. The current implementation does not write submitted engineering projects to a cloud project database and does not provide cross-device project sync or team sharing. Hosting access/error logs and operational backups are separate from the engineering project model.
Licence activation
Activation sends the submitted licence key to the ElectroDesigner server and then to Gumroad for verification. FaultChain uses an essential FAULTCHAINSESSID session cookie for entitlement and security. Server-side session data may include access expiry and a licence fingerprint; full card data is handled by the payment provider rather than FaultChain.
Cookies and analytics
ElectroDesigner currently does not set advertising or analytics cookies. The essential session cookie and browser local storage are described in the Cookie Policy.
Confidential engineering data
Avoid putting passwords, personal data, trade secrets or unnecessary confidential information into project names, notes or source records. Use neutral project identifiers where practical. FaultChain is an engineering calculation application, not a confidential document-management platform.
Full privacy information
The site-wide Privacy Policy describes controller contact, categories of personal data, purposes, retention criteria, recipients and data-subject rights. Security reporting is described on the Security page.
